Happy Birthday Ailin!

THOUGHT i'd wish one of my closest* friends a HAPPY BIRTHDAY today...as she turns 20! Woo Hoo!!! Here's a post about how we met & our journey thru life since...
(*note:she's not the only one and i'm not bias, so to all my other BFFs: pls don't get jealous...lol. i'm not narcissistic, just being sensitive..honestly!..)

ONCE upon a time, in the year 2005, around the month of april, I was minding my own business in the shower, post-workout at gym when this petite girl wrapped in a teeny weeny towel (wif straggly wet hair) bounded up to me & said, "Hey! U're in my CLP CLASS rite??" Obviously i was slightly taken aback cos i thought i knew everybody from class and i would have especially noticed a girl who's so rocker-chick wif tats on her shoulder n all... So i was like, "erm, yes?"

THEN she just started babbling about how she can't wait for de darn CLP EXAMS to be over cos she wants to PARTAAYYYY! Well wat i remembered from my first encounter wif the Ailin-kind was that she seemed soooo bo-chap about our exams which was in about 2 months time (mind u this creature actually went on to beat the entire CLP GRADS from de whole of m'sia to win a BOOK PRIZE...yea she was still partying and guzzling beer right down to de last day b4 exams... like i said la she ain't humankind...) and then suggested we plan a celebration trip to Club Med. Strangely i agreed becos her zealest passion for all things fun & crazy was just plain infectious. Long story short...we've been de best of friends ever since...

(oh how we've changed since...Thank GOD!!)







Not only is she a brilliant lawyer, she's also a talented cook..
Thanks for letting me hang out in ur cosy kitchen, spoiling me wif ur glorious mouth-watering cakes!...









...and yummy home-made burgers, curry chicken, cookies...

then reminding me to shed off those extra calories by being really passionate about fitness...and running...and of course we must always remember to take our shots!

...or 2...

...or 3...until we r no longer able to keep it in and must get out of car quick to bergolek on the tarmac!

best cure for a hangover? The Ailin-kind recommends slipping into a slinky bikini and chilling out on an island resort...

then one fine day, Planet Ailin was turned upside down cos along came Mr.ChooDee...who ignored all de other straying CBs (her exact words...) & swept her off her feet...(and i had to learn to share her...)

but so long as i still get to share a bottle of wine wif her, it's all good...

who needs a therapist when i have her?

So once again, HAPPY 20th** BIRTHDAY AILIN! May God continue to bless u with good health, brilliance, talent, compassion, enthusiasm and crazy siao-char-bor-ness! LOVE YOU MUCH!
