My Fav HairStyle of The Moment...UPDOS!

i lurve geting dolled up! And feel absolutely gorgeous getting my hair done by stylists who understands what i want...But there are days when i'm just oh-too-lazy to make a prior appointment so i'll DIY at home...or wherever i may be...

On a non-lazy day (or if i'm stuck at home and can't reach the salon...) i'll thong my hair, backcomb it, and pin half of it up by myself...Takes me abt 40 minutes...too long!!!

On a super lazy day, i'll just leave my hair au naturel...poker straight.

This is how i'll look on a semi-lazy day...just thong the ends..takes only minutes! But gotta avoid rain at all cost!
Here i'm out wif my superhot gf Miss Chong...

But usually, on a slightly lazy day.. (which is most days...) i'll use mousse, thong it, then use shitloads of hairspray and i'm good to go!

However, for special occasions i'm so into UPDOS atm...

i wanted a more relaxed look for my friend's church wedding so here i am getting my hair done into a semi-updo...

i love this demure soft look!

I was wearing a kebaya for an Indonesian wedding. We managed to bring some stylists over to the house...LOADS of backcombing to gimme power VOLUME...look how we're lined up in a row...LOL

Almost there...

finally: the END PRODUCT!

I was one of the jie mei's at the Chongs' wedding and i had to be at the hotel by 7.30am so i went to the hair salon the evening before...slept really carefully, and my hair was still great the next day...AMAZING wat i do for vanity...

with the Bride and other Jiemeis...

I wanted something a lil more glamorous for the Ballroom dinner so opted for all my hair to be swept up into a neat updo...Here with the dazzling one-of-a-kind Miss Paris Lin!

my fav pic... we look like glossy human traffic lights!

the stylist accessorised my updo wif a crystal diamante necklace...

...lasted all nite right up to the after party...

At a wedding in Jan last year...

At yet another wedding in Dec last year...

For my b'day this year i wanted to go for my version of the tribal princess look wif leopard prings... Don't i just look BOOMS!? : )

Hard Rock Cafe Jakarta!

If i'm in Jakarta, I MUST eat the Ribs at Hard Rock Cafe in E.X. It's super juicy and yummy! The ambience and live bands performing there are pretty good too...albeit a li'l too packed for my liking on event nites...

hmm...what shall i have?...

For starters, we had... Hard Rock Nachos Fresh corn tortilla chips piled high with Jack and Cheddar cheeses and seasoned pinto beans. Served with sour cream, chopped green onions, pico de gallo, jalapeƱos and a side of fresh Hard Rock Grilled Salsa. Big enough to share. With Grilled Fajita Beef.

Then my yummy juicy main... Hickory-Smoked Bar-B-Que Ribs A full rack of West Tennessee-style ribs rubbed then basted with their authentic Hickory Bar-B-Que sauce and cooked to perfection – so the meat falls right off the bone. Served with seasoned fries, ranch beans and fresh coleslaw.

Bert had
New York Strip Steak: A USDA choice 21 day aged center-cut, 12 oz.,grilled to his
liking and topped with Merlot-garlic butter. Served with fries,
gravy and fresh vegetables.

We even spotted some local celebs...
A group clled "Samson"...Even I have heard a few of their songs... So yup they def deserve to be called "celebs"!.. Wanted to get closer for a better pic but shy la...

MAJORCA...MAH-YOR-KAH!

An impromptu invite from Christine's family to stay for a couple of days with them at their holiday villa in sunny Majorca!
Besides lazing around in the sun, i really enjoyed exploring the island in our tiny cute car, having 5 hour long dinners, visiting Alonso's brother and nephews and just chatting till the wee hours of the nite...

entrance to the villa...

our gorgeous home for the week...

our li'l guest section of the house

In the afternoons we like trying tapas (mostly yummy) and loads of seafood (mostly over-priced) in different li'l cafes (mostly empty).

(if u look really closely u can see a plate of green stuff...my fav dish! juicy small green peppers roasted to crisp perfection in sea-salt...some were sweet and if u were lucky some were HOT!)

and of course we always let the Spanish do the ordering...

The restaurants were sea-front with gorgeous views...
pretty white yachts in a row...

and wow check out that stunning blonde!

pasty me next to tanned HOT Christine...

My fav spot where we kept diving off the cliff to the cool blue sea! and checked out topless hot babes...

BBQ in the outdoor dining with loads of good spanish wine..mmm...

Christine with Mr. & Mrs. Kuhrmeier (which translates to "we love waking up at 7 to go for morning walks" in German...really...)

i love how Alonso wore the exact same t-shirt as Mr.Kuhrmeier!

and, finally, we glammed up to have drinks after dinner...

Thanks so much for the generous and kind hospitality, Christine!

Bathtime!

What type of products to use in the shower? Here's a few stuff i'm using at the moment. I rarely get the same product twice cos i get bored easily and will use it in abundance towards the end so i can buy different stuff... unless it's exceptionally good or FREE! : )

AHAVA Mineral Body Lotion: "Intense moisturizers work to make this formula an ideal milk that hydrates and heals your skin. Rich in Aloe Vera, natural moisturizers, and Ahava’s own Osmoter compound, Mineral Body Lotion glides on easily to wrap your body in splendid, silky softness all day long" I've been using this for sometime now cos i've got really dry skin and this rich lotion does moisturise well minus any sticky after-feel...
Then i thought why not try the Mineral Shower Gel and Mineral Shampoo too? These 2 gives a very fresh clean feel. Can't really see the difference in having the "minerals" in them tho! These products costs about $20-32USD www.ahavaus.com

I recently discovered this brand after using it at my friend's place. The quality of essential oils in this Shower Gel is amazing! It claims to have "delicate floral and fruity fragrances from Provence. They are gentle on your skin, thanks to their dye-free formulas enriched with essential oils". It comes in aluminium bottles called estagon (pronounced "estagnoun") to preserve the "quintessential character of its products. This bottle, originally used for exporting olive oil and perfume oils from Southern France to the rest of the world, is now made of a noble and recyclable material. Even today, the perfumers of Grasse continue to use these aluminium bottles to protect the precious contents from temperature variations, air and light".

I really wanna try the Lavender Blossom scent!

The next day we hired a van to take us to Angkor Wat. We had to leave at 4 am coz the journey took about 5 hours. There were no streetlamps, no highways, only a single lane country road. Our driver weaved in and out, overtaking bullock carts, huge trucks and cows crossing...

but it obviously had no effect on my sleeping beauty mum...
